The Guardian highlights microplastic capture research

In a freshly published article, the Guardian presents four new promising means for microplastic capture. Among these innovative solutions, Research Professor Tekla Tammelin (Research PI of FinnCERES) highlights an approach in which biodegradable plant-based nanocellulose net can collect the smallest nanosized plastic particles without any chemical or mechanical interactions thanks to the porous structure of nanocellulose film.
